quick update
i just realized that i haven't updated in over a month - shame on me.
what's new? not a whole hell of a lot really... mostly work. i'm in the final stages of finishing up a dvd site for meet the robinsons, completed a site for my photographer friend, kelly, completed the site for another another photographer named denise crew - the site might not be live yet so if it blows it's not my work ;) - and i'm currently embroiled in a site for a medical air purification company. so... i'm generally keeping busy.
looking forward to doing some diving in la paz in late august with my dive buddies. might even take the month of september off and go visit the parental units in hawaii - depending on work, of course. i sure do need a fucking break though. again... i thank the gods for the work that i'm bringing in but jesus h shitballs... give a brotha a break and let him unwind.
i went on a blind date not too long ago... well not completely blind. i met her through match.com. you see, since i work at home by myself, i'm not afforded too many opportunities to meet people outside my circle of friends - the overwhelming majority of whom are not single. so, every so often - usually when i just can't stand the isolation anymore - i say "fuck it" and give the iDating thing another go. i'm really picky but you still never really know what you're going to get.
so there i am walking blind into this restaurant... terrified but putting on a good face ... hoping to god i'd recognise her, someone, ANYONE... i even had a good friend waiting for the word from me to know if he needed to come and save me. you see for all i knew, she could have been a big, sweaty, hairy man... with some sort of debilitating nervous tic or odor problem or something. either that or the pictures that she posted could have been from her "younger, hotter, less corpulent" days.
needless to say... she was absolutely who she said she was. no saving necessary. and i was so pleasantly surprised.
apparently the internet can be trusted from time to time.
now... if i could only figure out how to get her to go out with me again.
